Das Salettl-Residenzprogramm findet 2025 zum vierten Mal statt und wurde auch diesmal in einem Open Call international ausgeschrieben. Der Call richtete sich an professionelle internationale und österreichische Künstler*innen, deren Arbeiten einen interdisziplinären und spartenübergreifenden Ansatz erkennen lassen und die sich mit dem Jahresthema des Bezirks Donaustadt „Zusammenhalt“ im Kontext des Gemeinschaftsprojektes Kleine Stadt Farm auseinandersetzen.

Aus den 139 Bewerbungen wurde Gábor Hartyáni ausgewählt, um zwischen dem 01. Juni 2025 und dem 30. Juni 2025 am Gemeinschaftshof der Kleinen Stadt Farm sein Projekt zu entwickeln. Dieses wird am 27. Juni 2025 in einer Abschlussveranstaltung präsentiert.

 

Gábor Hartyánis künstlerische Arbeit bewegt sich an den Schnittstellen von improvisierter Musik, Performance und interdisziplinärem Ausdruck. In seinen Projekten erforscht er die Möglichkeiten des Cellos jenseits klassischer Konventionen und verbindet spontane Komposition mit Einflüssen aus Jazz, elektronischer Musik, urbanen und weltmusikalischen Klängen. Seine langjährige Praxis ist geprägt von experimenteller Zusammenarbeit mit Musiker*innen, Tänzer*innen und Performer*innen in unterschiedlichen Kontexten. In Berlin entwickelt er seit 2017 Solo- und Kollektivformate, darunter das Soloprojekt FLoHM, das Weltmusik-Kollektiv Khayâl, das Ambient-Trio TRILOKA, sowie NORLYZ, Maemo und das Duo Tabula Rasa. Als Mitbegründer und Kurator der Young Blood Initiative setzt er sich für spartenübergreifende künstlerische Prozesse ein. Seine Arbeit versteht er als offene Suche – eine kontinuierliche Auseinandersetzung mit Klang, Bewegung und sozialem Raum.

The Salettl Residency Program will take place for the fourth time in 2025 and was once again advertised internationally in an open call. The call was addressed to professional international and Austrian artists whose work demonstrates an interdisciplinary and cross-disciplinary approach and deals with the district of Donaustadt's annual theme of 'social cohesion' (in German: Zusammenhalt) in the context of the commutity farmstead Kleine Stadt Farm.

From the 139 applications, Gábor Hartyáni was selected to develop his project at the Kleine Stadt Farm community farmstead between June 1, 2025 and June 30, 2025. This will be presented at a closing event on June 27, 2025.

 

Gábor Hartyáni’s artistic practice unfolds at the intersection of improvisation, performance, and interdisciplinary collaboration. His work explores the cello beyond classical boundaries, merging spontaneous composition with influences from jazz, electronic, urban, and world music. Over the years, he has developed an experimental approach rooted in collaboration with musicians, dancers, and performers across diverse settings. Since 2017, he has been active in Berlin, developing both solo and collective projects such as his solo flow project FLoHM, the world fusion collective Khayâl, the ambient trio TRILOKA, as well as NORLYZ, Maemo, and the duo Tabula Rasa. As a co-founder and curator of the Young Blood Initiative, he supports cross-disciplinary artistic processes. His work is driven by an ongoing search—an evolving exploration of sound, movement, and social space.
